After a week of binging off of Grandma’s homemade stuffing, turkey and pumpkin pie, it is time to return to the dorm and to cheap crappy food. The leftovers are gone and the last Thanksgiving sandwich and/or wrap have been eaten. With all the end of the semester papers and exams starting to pile up, skip the dining hall and make your own salad. I’m not sure if you can truly classify this Doritos, ramen noodle, ground beef and cheddar cheese encrusted recipe as a real “salad,” but who cares? The taste is unbelievable and is the perfect treat for Sunday Football. Â
Difficulty:Â Easy
Ready in:Â 20 minutesÂ
You will need:
- 1 package of ramen noodles
- 1 bag of Doritos (a small bag will do)
- 1/2 lb. of ground beef
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- Taco seasoningÂ
How to cook:
The noodles:
1. Put 2 cups of water in a cooking pot and bring to a boil.
2. Once the water is boiling add the ramen noodles.
3. Wait 2-3 minutes until the noodles are tender and separate.
4. Strain noodles from the water.
5. Next, cook the ground beef in a cooking pan. Make sure it’s brown and fully cooked!
6. Once it’s ready, place it in a bowl and mix in the ramen.
7. Place the Doritos around the beef like petals of a flower (Remember- presentation is everything!)
9. Break the rest of the Doritos into small pieces on top of the beef.
10. Add the shredded cheese and taco seasoning.
11. Enjoy!
